A Renewable Resource 

While growing, trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, capturing carbon which is then stored within their structure.  As a natural product, sawn timber needs less energy to be produced compared to concrete or steel; by its very nature, timber is a renewable resource and can be recycled at the end of its serviceable life.
